What is "courtesy" and what is "bullshit"?
cour·te·sy/ˈkərtəsē/
Noun:
The showing of politeness in one's attitude and behavior toward others.
A polite speech or action, esp. one required by convention.
-
bull·shit/ˈbo͝olˌSHit/
Noun:
vulgar. Stupid or untrue talk or writing; nonsense.
Verb:
vulgar. Talk nonsense to (someone), typically to be misleading or deceptive.
To me, courtesy means "hello," "good day," "thank you," "how are you,"--being genuine and caring for the welfare of others.
Bullshit is lies, deception, flattery.
Bullshit is "let's do coffee," "I'll call you," "I'll let you know of any leads."
Let's not "do coffee," let's fucking talk!
Let's not grab a "coffee," let's just fuck.
Let's not "beat around the bush," let's just be honest and upfront.
Honesty is a virtue that I value.
What do you value?
Do you value the bullshit?
